Employees in cutting & deformation finished parts made of steel sheet after specification. These are used for repair, maintenance and production of naval structures. They process or manufacture naval components and individual parts according to drawings, specifications, patterns or models. In addition, they ensure the functionality of the systems required for the cutting and deformation process. They also work on, on and in ships as well as in all areas of repair operation to accommodate sizes and models from the components to be produced.

• Operating the autogenous cutting machine
• knowledge of the operation of various shipbuilding presses and the three-dimensional deformation of steel sheet and profiles of advantage
• Self-creating DXF burning files in the 2D CAD system
• nesting of components for optimizing material consumption and minimizing trimming
• Continuous control of the quality of the cuttings and dimensional accuracy of the manufactured components
• A great focus is on the complete management of the associated material certificates
• Sort and deploy the manufactured components by means of crane or forklift truck transport for further use in the various parts. Repair orders
• Support for the unloading of supplied material and material-appropriate storage of residual sheets
• Maintenance, inspection and proper use of equipment and machinery
• manufacture of required devices, models or aids and general metal processing
• Planning work sequences in compliance with all relevant safety regulations

You have this in your baggage

• Complete training as a construction engineer, shipbuilder or comparable training
• Multiannual professional experience in shipbuilding and operating autogenous combustion engines
• Safe handling of autogenous cutting and related technology
• Professional experience on shipyard sites / in ship repair and knowledge of shipbuilding standards are of great advantage
• Understanding technical drawings and specifications
• Safe handling of PC and 2D CAD systems is a basic requirement
• Crane and/or stapler certificate welcome
• Ability to carry out work under demanding conditions on board ships, including confined spaces, large heights and challenging physical positions are of advantage
• Responsibility, teamability and reliability
• Ready-to-use, independent and careful work and flexibility are required
• German in word and writing
