With about 1,500 detention places and about 80 beds in a medical department as well as eleven doctors from different disciplines, the judiciary prison Munich is one of the largest institutions in Germany. It is mainly responsible for the execution of investigative custody of male prisoners. A women's department with 160 detention places will be taken care of.
