Number: MER0003O5N We develop technological innovations, digital products and pioneering solutions on artificial intelligence exclusively for Mercedes-Benz. We set new standards in the field of automotive engineering and the digitization of quality control. They are responsible for the development of the backend of our web application for quality testing, the provision of state-of-the-art AI models for various computer vision tasks and the promotion of innovation in the company through advanced artificial intelligence solutions. In addition, you integrate these AI functions into existing systems and workflows to increase operational efficiency. This position requires a thorough understanding of the basics and principles of backend development as well as experience with programming languages and frameworks such as Python and PyTorch. The following exciting tasks await you at our full stack development internship: Development of local and cloud-based backends for web applications Creating and waiting the server-side logic with programming languages such as Python Design and management of APIs for seamless communication between frontend and backend Ensuring scalability, security and reliability of applications through cloud platforms such as Azure Use of the latest progress to reduce model size and complexity to execute large deep learning models on restricted hardware in real time Monitoring, debugging and solution of performance and reliability problems in applications The internship can start from September 2025.

Complete studies in computer science, software development or a related field Very good knowledge of the programming language Python and Jupyter Notebook (knowledge in C# is advantageous) Experience or knowledge in full-stack development to contribute to UX/UI design solutions Confidence with Docker for development and deployment in local and cloud environments Hands-on mentality for developing prototypes for hardware demonstrators and proof-of-concept models Additional information: Of course, without formalities, we are not.
