Accountant / Senior Specialist Accounting (m/f/d)

Independent end-to-end responsibility, preparation and testing of monthly, quarterly and annual accounts according to US-GAAP and HGB for defined units incl. Quality assurance, documentation and coordination of complex issues High technical depth in complex accounting and assessment topics (references incl. restructuring, latent taxes, stock valuation, sales revenues), close cooperation with team members and other financial teams Total responsibility for the accounting mapping of occupational pension plans (DB/DC) Contact person for auditors, tax advisers, auditors and internal audit in the responsible areas Preparation of audit packages, answering complex technical questions, implementation of audit findings Responsible for CAPEX/plant projects Finance Business Partner for Operations (e.g. Engineering, Operations, Procurement, Projects, Managing Director) Constructive, reliable interface work with corporate, controlling, tax and audit Pointual support of the junior by training/explaining on specific facts or process steps Close cooperation with working students:in structured incorporation, allocation of tasks, professional support and quality assurance of their work results Continuous improvement and further development of processes (automatization, optimization) Part/Project Responsibility for Initiatives and Harmonizations, Introduction of New Controls

Completed commercial training with further training to the accounting book holder (IHK) or completed economic studies with a focus on accounting and tax At least 5 years of professional experience in accounting as an accounting officer of an internationally operating company, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry Comprehensive and deepened knowledge of accounting according to HGB and US-GAAP/IFRS Very good user knowledge of MS Office tools (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Comprehensive SAP knowledge in FI/CO/AA/MM Very good language skills in German and English in word and writing Self-responsible, structured and targeted working methods and good analytical skills Decision strength, integrity, strong prioritization ability, team capacity and flexibility Competences in virtual work and modern communication as well as shared service mentality
