Head of Operations and Transport Hamm Branch Office (m/f/d)

The focus of your activity is on the management of the business and transport business unit, which you are responsible for and further developing professionally, organizationally and personnel. You control the tasks, objectives and processes of the business unit and ensure efficient, economic and targeted performance of tasks with the involvement of the associated employees. You are responsible for the economic management of the associated motorway masteries, assess their economic viability and coordinate the support process in the areas of road, winter, weather and warning services, as well as general traffic safety. You continuously monitor the achievement of the target of the business unit, derive appropriate control and corrective measures for target deviations and implement them consistently. You shall ensure compliance with the technical, organisational and legal requirements laid down by the headquarters of Autobahn GmbH, the branch management and the external branch management, and shall represent the business unit in specialised bodies, coordination rounds and steering circles. You take responsibility for the operations and transport of the external office, report regularly on tasks, developments and achievement of objectives to the management levels and promote cross-disciplinary exchange and knowledge management.

You have a completed academic degree in civil engineering, preferably with the focus on road construction, transport engineering, or a comparable qualification with corresponding knowledge and experience. You bring proven management and leadership skills from senior functions and have experience in managing organisational units as well as managing and developing employees. You have many years of relevant professional experience in road operations and in the field of transport and are fully familiar with the technical, organisational and operational requirements of this field of activity. You have well-founded knowledge of road, administrative and construction law, as well as very good knowledge of the relevant laws and regulations, in particular the StVO, the StVG and the FStrG. You are characterized by a pronounced decision-making, planning and organisational capability and are able to work on complex tasks in a structured, targeted and responsible manner.
