Design the next generation of holographic display solutions – from the optical system idea to the working prototype at the customer. In this role, you combine deep optics design with practical laboratory work and bring innovative display concepts into real applications – in close cooperation with international customers and interdisciplinary development teams.

Your role You transfer your designs into practice: building, adjusting and optimising test setups and prototypes in the laboratory You validate your solutions by feasibility studies, measurements and tests – internally and directly with the customer

You select suitable optical, electronic and mechanical components and integrate these systems to function

Together with customers and internal partners, you define product requirements and specifications

You work closely with optics design, electronics, software and manufacturing to develop sustainable solutions

You also accompany projects to the outside – during customer visits, demonstrators and international events

Complete studies in physics, optics/photonics, electrical engineering or comparable

Experience in optical system development / optics design (e.g. wave optics, diffractive optics, laser or display optics)

Joy in bringing designs to life in the laboratory (like construction, adjustment)

Ideally knowledge in one or more of the following areas: o holography / diffractive optics / wave optics o display technologies (e.g. LCD, OLED, μLED, LCoS) o image processing, rendering or computer Generated Holography

readiness to travel (max: 15%-20%) and openness for international cooperation and customer contact

Structured, solution-oriented and pragmatic mode of operation, coupled with a joy of innovation

Very good knowledge of German and English in word and writing as well as safe appearance at customers and trade fairs
