Cyber Security Engineer (m/w/d)

As a primary digitization partner of the Bundeswehr, we provide stable, safe and efficient IT services in Germany and abroad, from basic operations to the field close to the application and thus contribute to the continuous increase in the leadership and operational capacity of the Bundeswehr. With over 7,700 colleagues, we operate and modernise one of the largest and most complex IT infrastructures in Germany. from now on and in full time in Bonn, Cologne, Meckenheim or Rheinbach. As Security Engineer (m/w/d), you will be significantly involved in the construction and operation of an internal Decoy system. The aim is to identify potential threats at an early stage, to analyse the attack behavior and to specifically improve security measures. They work closely with the security specialist as well as with system and service administrators and accompany the project from start to productive operation.

Participation in the technical design and implementation of an internal Decoy service Support in building the system infrastructure (virtual environments, network segments etc.) Support for safe operation of Decoy instances (e.g. logging and alerting) Analysis of collected data and the department of possible optimizations/further developments Working with virtual teams and creating documentation Support in the selection and integration of succession solutions of suitable Decoy technologies (e.g. low/high interaction decoy solutions)

A degree in IT security or comparable training and at least 3 years of professional experience Experience with Windows and Linux-based systems Good knowledge of network technologies, protocols and firewalls Experience with virtualization environments, ideally VMware Project understanding and structured, independent working Interest in IT security, threat analysis and attack simulations Certification in the field of IT security desirable Ideally first experience in Decoy solutions, penetration testing. SIEM or Threat Hunting English knowledge C2 or comparable
