The SOS Children's Village Pfalz in Eisenberg is a youth support facility with children's village families and housing groups, a children's daycare centre and an advisory and family centre. For our SOS Children's Village Pfalz we are looking for an educator/social pedagogue (m/w/d) for our children's village family in an indefinite employment, full-time (38,5 hours/where.) Your task: In this position, your main area of responsibility lies in the care and promotion of children and young people within a children's village family. You are closely connected to the Kinderdorf Mutter and the entire team. This position offers you the opportunity to exert a positive influence on the development of children and young people in the long term and to make a valuable contribution to shaping their habitat. Their responsibility extends to long-term education, actively supporting children and young people in their learning and leisure activities. Your cooperation in assistance planning helps you to take into account the individual needs of the children and young people and to ensure the best possible care. As part of the children's village family you support the children's village mother in all educational tasks. This includes cooperation with children's relatives, accompanying doctor's visits, guidance on homework and teaching techniques, leisure activities and much more. They are conscientiously implementing the protection of children and persons. Your qualifications and skills: They have completed training for educators with state recognition or a university degree of social education. Ideally, you will have first experiences in child and youth assistance. They support and accompany the children of the children's village family in their daily lives and are interested in long-term processes. They are a communal and cheerful person who can motivate others well. At the same time, you are attentive and aware of the problems affecting children affected by the behaviour. Dealing with new media is important to you and you are happy to work on the conception of media education. Your handling of proximity and distance to the representatives is professional.
