Training as a medical assistant (m/f/d)

The Institute of Stroke and Dementia Research (ISD) is an institute of the University of Munich, which is largely funded by foundation funds, whose field of activity ranges from basic research to clinical studies. Our aim is to improve the possibilities of prevention, early detection and treatment of stroke and dementia diseases. During your training you learn the: Patient care before, during and after treatment Conducting treatments, blood collections and laboratory work Assistance in investigations Information of patients on possible investigations Implementation of hygiene measures Organisation of operations and monitoring of scheduling Participation in quality management Exercise of administrative work and documentation of treatments Team- and process-oriented operation Structure of training: Duration of training: three years Initial training: 1 September Practical training: in our ambulance in the LMU clinic outside school hours through a careful and qualified practical instruction Theoretical training: 840 teaching units distributed in 12 learning fields; Teaching at the vocational school for professionals in doctors and veterinarian practices and pharmaceutical-commercial employees Teaching content: treatment assistance, business and organizational processes, social science, German Examinations: in addition to regular teaching there also the necessary practical, written and oral examinations for the successful vocational qualification

Well-qualified main school degree or middle maturity Higher education Responsibility, empathy, care, confidentiality and readiness to learn Physical and psychological aptitude to exercise a medical profession Joy in dealing with patients and special strengths in communication skills Organizational talent, team skills and a high level of service and service orientation Good knowledge of German, at least on B2 level (required by certificate or school certificate)

You have regulated working hours without weekend or shift service. You work in Munich-Großhadern with very good accessibility through public transport (including U6).
