Senior Consultant Strategic Investments / M&A (m/f/d)

As part of the team, you take responsibility in the General Secretariat for new and existing strategic equity investments, especially in the fields of energy and infrastructure. This includes, in particular, independent operational work in strategic investments, including complex negotiations with sellers or sellers. Buyer side and cooperation with federal ministries. You develop and evaluate potential participation options within the framework of the superordinate KfW strategy. In addition, you take care of the ongoing management of your portfolio companies in order to achieve the strategic and economic objectives of the KfW and the Federal Government. This includes, inter alia, the questioning of strategies and projects of the portfolio companies or management as well as coordination and communication with various stakeholders in the KfW and the Federal Ministries. Internal processes and specifications are in your eye and develop them further. In cooperation with political institutions, you will delight with expertise, competent appearance and diplomatic sense. You agree with investment banks on market developments and participation options, form your own opinion and create presentations, comments and board templates for internal decision-making bodies and ministries. You will keep in mind risk signals, market developments and contractual information requirements, and experience in assessing the value development and potential of our investments

For this job, you should have an above-average degree in economics. You are also welcome with comparable qualifications. In your past professional life, you have worked in challenging positions, and in doing so you have well-founded expertise in Mergers & Acquisitions, Participation Management, Project Management in Deal Teams as well as in Due Diligence, Corporate Assessment, Modeling and Financial Analysis. With extensive economic knowledge as well as your competence for concise communication of complex content from corporate policy, strategy and financing, you will experience professional and solution-oriented. With a high level of formulation – also in written terms with texts at a demanding level – you can convince the board level and in coordination with federal ministries. You have as much experience as possible in the field of regulated industries and feel comfortable in the context of corporate and tax issues as well as balance sheet issues. You also have a watchful look at the political and institutional environment. Their actions are characterised by strategic and analytical thinking; You act very carefully and in a structured manner and always occur in a chorientated and facing manner.
