Head of Unit Z.II.2 ''IT Services'' (m/f/d)

The BBK is the head office of the Federal Government for National Crisis Management in Germany. We ensure the quality of crisis management in a central coordination role with federal, international and cross-sector partners. In view of this task, our interdisciplinary team is growing steadily. We are looking for unlimited duration at the next time a Head of Unit (w/m/d) Group 15 TVöD (Bund) for the Unit Z.II.2 “IT-Services” at the office of Bonn. Unit “IT-Services” The unit is responsible for operating the BBK's IT infrastructure and support for hardware and software problems for over 700 employees. It functions as an interface to the area care and to the customer management of the information technology center of the Federal Ministry “ITZBund”. In addition, the maintenance of IT operations, the execution of user trainings and the procurement of soft and hardware are in the task. In cooperation with the Unit Z.II.1 “Digitalization” and the specialist departments, the unit continuously develops the IT procedures of the BBK.

Leadership – You take over the disciplinary and professional leadership of the currently 8 employees in the unit, promote cooperation and ensure a result-oriented operation. In doing so, you are responsible for planning tasks, ensuring the quality of the unit results and ensuring effective and efficient use of resources. Further development – As head of the Z.II.2 unit, you assume a central strategic and operational role within the BBK. You actively shape the further development of the IT operation in the BBK, also to further strengthen its crisis strength. Advice – The advice of the administration and the executives on strategic and technically demanding IT principles is also one of your tasks. Collaboration – You maintain a trusted cooperation with the administration, executives, employees, and stakeholders. You bind relevant stakeholders early into central decision-making processes and promote constructive and solution-oriented cooperation at all levels through transparency and liability.

A scientific university degree (Master, Uni-Diplom) with clearly recognizable reference to the area of responsibility (e.g. the field of computer science, business informatics). Alternatively, you have a career capability for the higher service. Ideally, you can already demonstrate professional and disciplinary leadership experience. Practical full-time experience in IT operations or IT security. Proven experiences in the management of IT projects are desirable in the administrative environment. Joy in the exercise of an important leadership role in the central department associated with the clear awareness of taking responsibility for a modern and well-functioning IT infrastructure of the BBK. An unambiguous will to design work processes, methods and structures. The ability to analyze more complex facts and to convey them in a comprehensible and addressable manner. You can express yourself in both German and English in a structured and detailed manner on complex issues (German C2/ English B1 according to GER). Since our tasks are safety-relevant and event-oriented, we need your unrestricted willingness to extend the safety review and to participate in the BBK crisis organisation. Applicants are employees of collective agreements from group E 13 or Officials from grade A 13 h. In principle, the function is transferred for a parole period of 6 months. After successful probation, the final transmission of the unit line is provided. A transport according to A 15 is then carried out in the presence of the corresponding conditions.

Application of officials – If you are in an official relationship, we will take you up to the grade A 15 at the same level by means of a disorder with the aim of the transfer.
