Network Modeling Engineer (m/w/d) PowerFactory

The team works well connected within and outside of TransnetBW and plays a central role in asset management.

They develop the internal basic network model operationally and strategically to support legal processes and network studies with regard to new questions and findings. They prepare the network models with quality assurance for static and dynamic network calculations and work closely with users and other transmission system operators. They take over the role of the key user for the PowerFactory network calculation software and support users in the use of the software. They work closely with IT to further develop the PowerFactory infrastructure and take over administrative tasks around the PowerFactory. They maintain contact with users and represent the positions of TransnetBW Asset Management both internally and externally at national level.

You have completed a university degree in electrical engineering, energy engineering, industrial engineering or a comparable field of expertise. They look back on many years of experience in network modeling and network calculation with PowerFactory, ideally in the context of power grid operators As a key user for PowerFactory, you enjoy the support of users, the software administration and the requirements management of further developments. They are characterized by high IT affinity, possess a basic understanding of IT architectures, server administration and databases and have first experience with Windows Server, PowerShell and Active Directory. They ideally have knowledge of the handling of IT projects and the creation of technical documentation in the IT environment. They are ready for occasional missions.
