Head of Purchasing and Materials Management Energy / Infrastructure (m/f/d)

Our client is Germany's leading company in the production of electricity, process steam and district heating through thermal waste recycling and recycling and thus a central player in the circular economy. EEW Energy from Waste efficiently uses the energy contained in waste and produces process steam for industrial plants, district heating for residential areas and environmentally friendly electricity for about 700,000 households. With its 17 modern facilities, the company is already contributing significantly to climate protection and resource protection as well as safe disposal and energy supply. As an operator of system-relevant systems, EEW is also part of the critical infrastructure in Germany. Around 5 million tonnes of waste are consumed annually and environmentally friendly.

Total responsibility for central purchasing, materials and warehouses for a total of 17 locations in Germany, the Netherlands and Luxembourg Strategic and operational management of procurement of technical equipment, spare parts and services including negotiation and management of framework contracts, selection, evaluation and development of suppliers End-to-end responsibility for all material flows along the entire value chain Initiation, planning and implementation of change and optimization projects (process harmonisation, digitization, etc.) Close cross-functional cooperation with locations, in-house technology and maintenance as well as other areas of expertise Professional and disciplinary leadership, development and motivation of the central team as well as control of external service providers.

Complete studies in the field of economic engineering, mechanical engineering, business management, logistics, supply chain management or a comparable qualification Multiannual professional experience in a leading role in strategic and technical purchasing, materials management or supply chain management, ideally in the industrial environment (e.g. power plants, plant engineering, process industry, disposal/energy) Experience in strategic supplier management as well as in contract and price negotiations Very good knowledge in handling ERP systems (e.g. SAP) as well as material economic processes Embossed process affinity and the ability to analyze complex processes structured and optimize end-to-end Impressive design will and the need to continuously improve processes, processes and results Very good English skills
