The Risk Analytics & AI Solutions team is characterized by its mathematical-statistic skills and develops highly efficient forecasting models for the credit risks of the Mercedes-Benz Financial Services companies in Germany. And is also a Competence Center in Advanced Analytics for the Mercedes-Benz Financial Services in Germany. The focus of your internship will be on cooperation with various data analytics and data science projects. You actively support us in the analysis of data and the development of ML models. In your internship, you will be integrated into the specialist and project tasks from the first day and will quickly get responsibility for your own tasks. The internship takes place at our site at the Pragsattel in Stuttgart, regular attendance (3-5 days a week, depending on the phase of the internship) is required. Your tasks depend on your interests and knowledge: Participation in the new and further development of quantitative procedures for risk classification and fraud detection (scoring, rating, credit decision and fraud recognition models) Applying and testing machine learning methods (e.g.: Random Forest, Gradient Boosting) in Python Working with the creation of current data and portfolio analyses based on the extensive data volume of Mercedes-Benz Bank and the technical interpretation and creative presentation of your results Working with the Data Analytics environment Databricks and with the Analytics software SAS Enterprise Guide Conception, creation and testing of new reporting dashboards with Microsoft Power BI Introduction to topics related to Agentic AI Creating German and English-speaking decision and presentation documents with PowerPoint and Confluence The incorporation into methods of agile software development, such as Scrum, and the use of modern tools, such as Github, Jira and Confluence Your starting date for the 6-month internship with industry-standard remuneration can be adjusted to your desired period.

You study (economic) mathematics, statistics, economics, (economic) computer science, data science or a comparable quantitative study programme

You have knowledge in one or more of the following areas: Statistical Data Analysis, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Agentic AI or Cloud Technologies (MS Azure)

You have basic knowledge in a statistical programming language (R or Python), knowledge in a database language (SQL or SAS) are advantageous

Agile's mindset, commitment, initiative and reliability are of course for you

Very good knowledge of German and good English in word and writing complete your profile
