Intern (m|w|d) in hydraulic development - Analysis and optimization of water turbines Job 76283 | Location Heidenheim | from October 2025 for 5-6 months Your tasks Your tasks include the creation and analysis of hydraulic components of a water turbine. You analyze the geometries analytically and using methods of numerical flow simulation. You compare the analyses for measurements on real plants or in the in-house measuring laboratory and optimize the geometry or extend the analysis methods. You work with experts from simulation, measurement technology, hydraulic design and strength calculation across the field. With your work, you contribute to current issues that support the energy transition. Your profile You are an immatricated student (m/w/d) of the field of mechanical engineering or a similar course of engineering studies. You have basic knowledge of turbomachines and flow teaching. Knowledge of how to use 3D CAD systems, such as NX, Solid Edge, and software ANSYS CFX are beneficial. Good knowledge of German and English as well as independent working methods and team skills complete your profile. An independent, structured way of working distinguishes you, and communication and team skills are your strengths.
