Crane Operator Port Logistics (m/f/d)

We are looking for a crane operator (m/w/d) You've got everything in your hands, too, heavy loads! Become part of our team in port logistics and bring movement to the port as a crane leader with skill, precision and sense of responsibility.

At our renowned port and logistics locations in Northern Germany, you can transfer the handling of various goods from containers and bulk goods to heavy goods and challenging project cargo. You work in a varied maritime environment with the latest handling technology and a well-established team. Your tasks include the safe management and operation of port cranes, mobile cranes, envelope excavators and container bridges. You are loading and unloading sea, feeder and inland ships, as well as heavy duty ponstons and ensure a smooth handling of bulk goods, bulk goods, containers, heavy goods and project loads. In addition, you carry out LoLo operations and carry out various loads such as ISO containers, offshore components, steel components or wind turbines. The loading of rotor blades, tower segments, machine systems and transformers is also part of your varied range of activities. With complex heavy goods envelopes and tandem strokes, you work precisely according to lifting concepts and ensure maximum safety at all times. You work with cargo and storage plans, take into account load tables, load moments and discharge limits and tune closely with tabs, stops, signal transmitters, ship guides and dispatchers. Before each operation, you carry out pre-start, maintenance and functional checks on the work equipment and ensure that all DGUV, ISPS, SCC and port and terminal regulations are complied with at any time.

Ideally, you have completed technical or commercial training and have a valid crane license for port, mobile or handling cranes. First experiences in the field of port logistics, seaport envelope or terminal operation are of advantage and help you quickly find yourself in your new task. You are familiar with the handling of port car cranes, container bridges (STS), portal trucks, reach stackers, heavy goods cranes or handling machines. You are also sure to use load-receiving means such as container spreaders, traverses, round loops, chain and wire rope hangers as well as other special stop means. You have knowledge of cargo securing as well as the calculation of load centers and can safely read and apply load diagrams, storage plans and cargo Manifestations. In addition, you bring a good understanding of ship stability, weight distribution and quay wall loads. Shiftwork in early, late and night services is of course for you. You convince by team skills, reliability and a strong security awareness. You presuppose a class B driving license, a class CE driving license is of advantage. Ideally, you also have SCC/SGU certification and experience in offshore, wind energy or heavy goods. Knowledge of handling dangerous goods according to IMDG code as well as experiences in the RoRo, LoLo or Breakbulk envelope complete your profile.
