With innovative products of the highest quality and efficient development processes, we are driving technological excellence. We are already working on vehicles that secure the technology leadership of Mercedes-Benz in the future. The Startups & NeXt Business Innovation team is part of the future research in RD. Our focus is on scouting, evaluating and developing innovative startups within the international Mercedes-Benz network. In close cooperation with internal departments as well as external partner platforms – including as a founding partner of the STARTUP motorway – we identify pioneering technologies and business models and implement pilot projects to the application. In this way, we make an active contribution to the further development of innovation, digitization and future strategies in the RD environment and sustainably shape the change of Mercedes‐Benz. The Startups & NeXt Business Innovation team supports early identification, evaluation and validation of pioneering technologies in the research & development of Mercedes‐Benz AG. About the STARTUP AUTOBAHN you work at the interface between innovative startups, internal departments and external partners and actively contribute to the implementation of pilot projects: International startup screening, assessment and validation of technologies and business models Design of the international cooperation model of the Mercedes-Benz locations and hubs Support in the Venture Clienting Process incl. Data Care and Processing for Innovation Clusters Project and event management, especially at startup pitches and events of STARTUP AUTOBAHN Tracking startup activities and creating reports, presentations and top management briefs Media and market monitoring for startups, technologies and trade fairs Support for internal communication (Intranet, Reports, Newsletter) The activity can begin from June 2026.

Studies of economic engineering, business informatics, technology management or a comparable degree programme

Analytical Conceptual Thinking, Strong Communication and Team Skill Own initiative, sense of responsibility and structured working High enthusiasm, curiosity and motivation to work on new topics Very good knowledge of German and English in word and writing Very good knowledge of the application of AI tools and MS PowerPoint. First practical experiences and a stay abroad are advantageous Ideally, availability of at least six months for student work
