iPSC differentiation and process development: independent establishment, optimization and standardization of differentiation protocols for the directed development of induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) in haematopoietic precursor cells (HPCs) and mature effector cells, in particular NK and T cells Scale-up and Bioprocess Development: Development and Translation of Adhärenter iPSC Cultures in feeder-free, closed suspension processes as well as scaling of the differentiation and expansion processes to modern bioreactor platforms (e.g. rocking motion and stirred tank systems up to 50 L) Cell line evaluation and platform qualification: scientific and technical evaluation of external iPSC lines in close cooperation with academic partners in terms of coronary stability, differentiation potential and freedom-to-operation (FTO) as a basis for commercial GMP deployment Technology Transfer and GMP Implementation: Close cooperation with QA, QC and CMC teams to transfer developed processes into GMP-compliant manufacturing processes (Closed Systems, Clean Room Class C/D) and support in the establishment and characterization of Master Cell Banks (MCBs) Technology scouting and platform optimization: identification, evaluation and implementation of innovative technologies (e.g. non-viral transfection processes, optimized cytokine cocktails and perfusion systems) to continuously increase the efficiency, robustness and scalability of the cell therapy platform

Successfully completed studies with PhD in cell biology, biotechnology, immunology, bioengineering or a comparable discipline Deep, practical hand-on experience in dealing with human pluripotent stem cells (hESCs / iPSCs) and their directed differentiation (ideally in the field of hematopois / immune cells) detectable experience in the scale-up of mammalian cell cultures, ideally changing from 2D-adherence to 3D-suspension in bioreactors (Wave, Stirred-Tank) Strong understanding of the requirements of GMP-compliant production of Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products (ATMPs), cellular quality controls and ideally experience in creating Master Cell Banks Very good knowledge of German and English in word and writing
