IT Support Engineer (m/w/d)

Our OpsTech Solutions Team (OTS) offers all Amazon operating locations worldwide running technology support. Maintenance, upgrade and protection of the IT infrastructure and end-user devices of one of the largest companies in the world require a variety of skills. Some team members are specialized professionals who help to create and implement solutions. Others take over leadership roles and act as executives for our tech support team so that our end users can support them as best possible. The Amazon OTS team is committed to keeping performance and sustainability in balance for all new solutions. Many of our employees work at local locations. Our team is active 24/7 and ensures that we can offer support and carry out important maintenance work with the lowest possible interruptions in the business process. Efficiently functioning IT systems ensure that the operation at Amazon is running at maximum speed at any time. Our IT Support Team is working behind the scenes to fix problems and improve our systems so that our operation is running optimally. Your focus is to ensure that our IT infrastructure has grown the requirements of our global business. At the same time, you work with the latest technology and learn how we develop the warehouse environment of the future. This job is initially written as a part-time job, but there is the possibility of full-time employment.

• Support end user devices and IT infrastructure in your building • Help with key network projects, such as the IT facilities for new Amazon buildings • Proposals for new processes that improve the use of IT at Amazon logistics centres • Mentoring and promotion of colleagues

A day in the life You work on site and visit other locations in Germany and possibly internationally several times a month. As part of our IT support team, you work with colleagues: both remotely and in the office and support them with any problems. You use your expertise to ensure the optimal operation of our platforms and implement projects to maintain or improve our IT infrastructure. Sometimes you may also help to design the infrastructure for new buildings and make sure that everything works perfectly when the new terrain is put into operation. Basic qualifications A degree in computer science or another technical field Experience in the administration of heterogeneous networks with Microsoft Windows and Linux-based clients and servers Experience with network infrastructure, system integration and work with third-party providers Advanced English and German knowledge in word and font Valid driving licence

Preferred qualifications Other industry certifications, such as ITIL, Cisco (CCNA, CCNP), Microsoft (MCP, MCSE) or Linux (LPIC-1, LPIC-2) Experience with diagnostics and problem solving skills Experience with work in a dynamic, customer-oriented environment Experience in dealing with common network and Internet protocols, such as network management, communication and security protocols Experiences in IT-Asset management and shopping or with WLAN
