Since 1982, the AGR waste disposal company Ruhrgebiet mbH (AGR) has operated a plant for the thermal treatment of waste with the RZR Herten. The waste incineration plant supplies energy annually for the supply of over 50,000 households. 25,000 households provide them with climate-friendly heat. The AGR works with around 950 employees in the Thermik, landfill management, waste logistics & valuables and energy production sectors.
