Site Reliability Engineer (m/w/d)

Come to our 10-headed DevOps, network and platform team and support us to keep our technologies state-of-the-art and advance us in the areas of reliability, system transparency and application security! Our team develops scalable and secure solutions with a high degree of automation for the IT applications of the Munich Association. To further optimize the safe, stable and performant operation of our modern application environment, we want to extend our team to you.

Observability, System Transparency & SLA/SLO Control End-to-End Monitoring: You use modern observability tools to make the performance, availability and state of our applications transparent in live operation Anomaly detection & Security Monitoring: You use our tools to detect unauthorized access attempts, performance breaks or deviations in platform behavior early, automated and proactively Understanding system relationships: You analyze the complex dependencies and interactions between our containerized applications, identify bottlenecks and accelerate the root Cause Analysis Establishment of SRE metrics: You support the team in defining and monitoring SLIs and SLOs to ensure our system quality SRE-driven Security & Automation Secure Interconnectivity & Secrets Management: You ensure secure and encrypted communication between our networked applications and automate the secure provision of access data during operation Platform Security & Guardrails (Security as Code): You define and automate security planks directly at platform level Resilience & Self-Healing: You design and implement fail-safe patterns (e.g. rate limitation, circuit breaking) and accompany the design of automated recovery processes Consulting & strategy Interface function (DevSecOps): You advise and support other (IT) teams in fail-safe architecture, secure deployment and optimal monitoring of new IT systems

If you don't bring all – no problem, we help you learn the rest:SRE & Security Focus: Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), DevOps or System Administration with a strong focus on automation, platform security and system reliability Observability expertise: Practical experience with monitoring and APM tools, ideally Elastic APM and CheckMK Modern Stack Confession: Funded understanding of container orchestration (OpenShift/Kubernetes) and Java-based runtime environments (Quarkus, RedHat EAP) Automation & Infrastructure as Code: Secure handling of version management (Git), automation tools (Ansible) and basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins) Programming/scripting: Good knowledge in at least one programming or script language (e.g. Python, Go, Java or Bash) for automating repeating tasks (Toil)
