With the reactivation of the Siemensbahn, the 4.5 kilometres long S-Bahn route is revived in the northwestern area of the Berlin S-Bahn ring to meet new mobility needs. With the Siemensbahn, the so-called Siemensstadt Square has a direct connection to the Ringbahn. The project “Allianz Siemensbahn” is implemented as a partnership model rail (integrated project processing (IPA). With the NVT Nord, the extension of the S-Bahn line S75 from Wartenberg via the Karower Kreuz is planned as part of the #i2030 project until the integration into the S8 near Hohen Neuendorf. At the Karower Kreuz, a new railway station (“Turmbahnhof”) is to be built, on which platforms for regional and S-Bahn traffic are built on the Szczecin Railway and the outer ring.
