Tasks with perspectives

As part of our internal and market-acting cyber defense center in the field of anomaly and attack detection, you design, implement and optimize detection rules in the Security Information and Event Management Platform (SIEM) as well as other detection tools, thereby supporting the cyber defense analysts in the Security Operations Center. In case of need, you design and implement complementary detection solutions to take into account the technological development of our own IT landscape as well as the development on the attacker side, and optimierst platforms, tools and processes to support incident response. As a result, you contribute significantly to the improvement of anomaly recognition and the appropriate response. In the case of a Security Incident, you support targeted handling through your IT-forensic skills or take a coordinating role due to your experience. You advise internal colleagues on reducing attack surfaces and vectors.

Personality with profile

You have a completed study of computer science, information technology or business informatics, as well as many years of relevant professional experience in IT security or a comparable qualification as well as experience in managing cross-disciplinary projects. You have experiences as a DFIR Consultant in the field of host and network, Incident Responder and/or Incident Manager and retrieve sound Windows and Linux skills. Experience in the field of Incident Response Automation, Detection Engineering and in at least one SIEM platform, ideally also in the cloud environments. A routined use of script languages such as Python, PowerShell, etc. complete your professional profile. You have knowledge of German (at least C1 level) and good English (B2 level). You are convinced by a high degree of self-initiative and willingness to learn and characterized by a pronounced independent, analytical thinking and action.
