Chemical Laboratory, CTA/PhyTA, Chemical (m/w/d) 69123 Heidelberg, Germany In this position, you prepare battery materials as well as precursors using different manufacturing methods in the field of research and development. This can comprise the operation of precipitation plants and calcination furnaces for material production, including preparation of the precipitation products by filtration and drying. They produce electrode materials as well as coin and pouch cells by means of common working steps, such as slurry production, doctor blades and calendering. The battery cells produced are subjected to electrochemical testing. Further project-specific material characterization is carried out in self-research or in coordination with corresponding specialist departments. In addition, maintain laboratory equipment and plants and carry out smaller repairs and maintenance work. They participate in the creation of risk assessments and safety management instructions.

They have completed vocational training as a chemical laboratory/physical laboratory, chemical-technical assistant/physical assistant, chemical technician or comparable qualification. You have first professional experience with safe working in the laboratory environment. Ideally, you will have practical experience in material preparation, electrode production or cell testing.
