Working Student (m/w/d) Sustainability – Critical Agricultural Commodities / Field Projects

The coordination of the EDEKA strategy takes place at the Hamburg EDEKA headquarters. For the EDEKA ZENTRALE Stiftung & Co. KG at the Hamburg site, we are looking for two working students (m/w/d) sustainability with the focus on critical agricultural raw materials (from January 2026) or field projects (from now on). Do you want to actively contribute to the sustainable development of the agriculture and food industry and gain valuable practical experience? Then we support us as a working student:in – either in the team critical agricultural raw materials or in the team field projects, for example in the context of the EDEKA WWF banana program. Please indicate in your application whether you are interested in the position in the field of critical agricultural raw materials, for the field projects or for both areas.

You are actively working on sustainability projects in agriculture and nutrition – depending on the focus of critical agricultural raw materials or field projects You carry out research on sustainability topics and other aspects of raw materials on your own and prepare the results according to the target group – e.g. for purchasing, retailing or final consumers: You analyze sustainability potentials along the supply chain and develop appropriate measures together with the team You support the project management during the monitoring and evaluation of data You perform organizational and administrative tasks in the project context – e.g. B. in the planning of workshops You accompany the project work and gain deeper insights into our sustainability activities

Study background: You are in advanced bachelor's or master's studies of a sustainable course (e.g. sustainability, agricultural, economic or environmental sciences, geography, raw material management) – ideally focusing on sustainability Special interests & practical experience: You have ideally already gained practical experience in the field of sustainability (e.g. through internships) and are interested in agricultural topics such as biodiversity, water management or crop protection. Knowledge of agricultural policy and relevant legislation (e.g. EUDR) are advantageous in the area of critical agricultural commodities. Language skills: You have very good knowledge of German and English; for field projects you will also bring good to very good Spanish knowledge Methodological & personal skills: You think conceptually and analytically, work conscientiously, independently and purpose-oriented. You are team-ready, flexible and can quickly work into new topics IT know-how: You are safe in dealing with current MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
