Head of Department Green (m/f/d)

You provide a versatile area of expertise with around 150 employees from the areas of urban green spaces and cemeteries, forestry, traffic safety of urban trees and water retention/construction strategically, professionally and organizationally. Here you take responsibility for budget, personnel and resource use. Furthermore, the participation of projects on sustainable urban and outdoor development is one of your tasks. You are responsible for ensuring the safety of your area of responsibility. You actively develop work and organisational processes. You represent the WBH in inner-city and external working groups and actively cooperate with political bodies and specialist authorities.

First of all, your personality: you actively take leadership and live it with clarity, sense of responsibility and appreciation. You will be able to motivate employees, accompany changes constructively and develop different tasks together. You act in a solution-oriented, decision-making and keep an overview even in challenging situations. You will also have a completed study in the field of landscape architecture, national care or a comparable subject suitable for the activity. You have knowledge in the fields of green area management, forestry, traffic control, cemetery or aquatic ecology, or are willing to gain an overview in the areas that are not yet known to you. You bring an economic understanding and a safe handling of organizational and administrative processes and are ready to actively shape change processes, take responsibility and make decisions. You have already gained experience in a leadership position. You have strong IT skills, think digitally and bring interest in the further development of modern processes and applications. You also have German knowledge of at least level C1 (§ 23 VwVfG - official language) as well as a driving licence of class B.
