Project Manager BESS / Battery Storage (m/f/d)

Own-responsible line and control of battery storage projects (BESS) from the technical pre-test to the turnkey transfer Design and configuration of battery storage systems including inverter, transformer, protection, communication and network connection technology

creation and control of project budgets, calculations, schedules, tenders and technical project documents 

Responsibility for coordinating all project participants, including customers, network operators, authorities, planning offices, suppliers, manufacturers, expert reviewers and contractors

Ensuring smooth project processing between planning, procurement, delivery, construction, network connection, commissioning and handover

Control and monitoring of approval, construction and network connection procedures, including coordination with authorities, network operators and other stakeholders

Responsibility for the verification and compliance of technical, legal and regulatory requirements and the monitoring of network compatibility and network connection processes

Support in the preparation and testing of application documents, technical evidence, expert opinions and project-relevant documentation

Monitoring of dates, costs, quality, occupational safety and technical risks including active change and follow-up management

Organisation and implementation of on-site terminals to assess location conditions, network connection situations, structural requirements and project-specific boundary conditions

Implementation of economic applications such as self-consumption optimization, load peak management, replacement current and emergency power supply

Regular reporting of project status to customers, management and other stakeholders regarding progress, risks, costs and dates

Active development of project management processes, standards and digital tools for scaling and optimising project execution

Technical studies, master or technician degree or comparable qualification, e.g. in electrical or energy engineering Multiannual experience in the planning, control or implementation of technical energy infrastructure projects, knowledge in the field of battery storage systems (BESS) are advantageous Understanding electrical systems, network connections and relevant technical interfaces between the plants knowledge of the applicable connection directives and regulations, in particular VDE-AR-N 4105 and/or VDE-AR-N 4110, desirable Outstanding economic understanding and experience in costing, cost assessment and results-oriented project management Communication strength and safe occurrence in dealing with customers, authorities, network operators, specialist planners and subcontractors Class B driving licence as well as knowledge of German in word and writing Practical experience in cooperation with civil engineering, electrical and other technical subcontractors Basic knowledge of the relevant legal, normative and technical requirements in the field of network connection, approval and construction applications Experience in coordination with network operators, authorities and other stakeholders as well as understanding the network connection processes Detectable experience in the creation and monitoring of network applications and in direct exchange with distribution system operators (VNB)
