Tender Manager Road Europe (m/f/d)

Central coordination and control of European transport tenders in the Road Freight area across several countries and departments

Analysis and structured evaluation of tender documents, transport volumes, relationships, customer requirements and commercial and operational conditions

Creation of calculations, simulations and scenario analyses to develop competitive transport and pricing concepts

Coordination of pricing and consolidation and plausibility assessment of country-specific offers in terms of completeness, competitiveness and margins

Close communication and coordination with the participating European countries as well as relevant specialist areas such as sales, operations, product management, finance and other stakeholders throughout the entire tender process

Organisation and implementation of internal tender chain-offs, assessment calls and reviews as well as control of timelines, responsibilities and deadlines

Support in the development of solution designs and alternative transport concepts for complex customer requirements

Compilation of European offers and support in the creation of terms & conditions, offering presentations and final submission to customers and customers Tender platforms

Accompanying multi-level alerts and deriving appropriate pricing and offer strategies for further tender rounds

Continuous development and standardisation of the European Tender and Pricing Process in the Road-Freight area with the aim of increasing transparency, efficiency and success rate

Ideally a degree with a focus on logistics, supply chain management or a comparable qualification

Multiannual professional experience in the transport and logistics industry, ideally focusing on European road transport and/or Tender Management

Experience in the processing and control of tenders as well as in handling larger data volumes and complex customer requirements

Structured, independent and solution-oriented mode of operation as well as the ability to work reliably even under tight tender lines

Good communication and coordination skills for cooperation with international and cross-functional teams

Knowledge in the European Roadfreight environment, in particular FTL, LTL and Groupage, would be advantageous

Very good analytical skills and a pronounced numerical understanding

Very good Excel knowledge and safe handling of the entire MS Office package

Very good English knowledge in word and writing due to the international and European orientation of the position
