Export Control Officer (m/f/d)

Responsibility for company-wide export control and sanctions compliance Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, in particular: German External Economic Law (AWG/AWV) EU dual-use regulation US export control law (in particular EAR/ITAR) and US sanctions law (OFAC)

Examination and classification of goods and technologies (e.g. dual-use goods, arms goods) Implementation of penalty list checks and end-use checks Assessment of export operations with regard to authorisation requirements Application and administration of export authorisations to competent authorities (e.g. BAFA) Construction, maintenance and further development of an Internal Compliance Program (ICP) for export control Advising the departments (sales, development, logistics, purchasing) in export control issues Implementation of internal training and awareness programmes Monitoring regulatory changes in export control and sanction law Communication with authorities and support in audits and internal investigations Support in the assessment of international business models with regard to export control and sanctions risks

Completed studies, e.g. in law or economics, international business / foreign trade, industrial engineering or comparable Multiannual professional experience in export control, foreign trade or trade compliance Funded knowledge in EU export control law, German foreign trade law, US export control law (EAR/ITAR) and sanctions Experience with dual-use classification and approval procedures Knowledge in building and operating compliance management systems Very good knowledge of German and English Analytical thinking, high integrity and structured working
