Full-time employment indefinite Group 11 TV-L FU Identification: I GS_26_unlimited The Freie Universität Berlin is one of the most diverse and most research-intensive universities in Germany. As a human resources department, we serve around 5,000 scientific and scientific-assisted employees and around 500 university teachers. In addition, our tasks include training management, personnel development and operational health management, dual career and family service as well as social consultation. We are part of the central university administration and advise the Bureau, executives and employees as well as university institutions on all human matters.

Who we are looking for: As a general rule, you are dealing with personal and labour law issues that go beyond the individual case. Their activities are in particular: Manufacture of written or expert opinions Advising university and department management, staff teams and all areas of the university on labour and collective bargaining issues (e.g. the establishment and enforcement of mutual entitlements from the employment relationship, justification, deadline and termination of employment, etc.) Interpretation of tariff and legal provisions and accompanying the implementation of new legal regulations Opinion on legislative proposals, collective bargaining, collective agreements and the Statutes and guidelines of the university Accompanying legal complaints from employees Preparation of important decisions of the courts Preparatory processing of documents for e.g. the Labour Court Creation of work aids and instructions as well as support in the incorporation of staff members, including during training events

completed university studies (Bachelor) in the field of administrative or legal knowledge or an activity-related field. German knowledge (at least C2). (Occupational)experience: perennial (2 years) experience in the personnel field; or Experiences in the case of work law. Requested:

Ideally, you will also bring: Very good knowledge of public tariff law and labour law Good knowledge of Higher Education Law and Restriction Law (TzBfG/WissZeitVG), Labour Law, Tax and Social Security Law, Human Representation Law of the Land of Berlin and Administrative Law and Process Law Experience with administrative processes, ideally in public service and knowledge of higher education structures High solution and service orientation, targeted operation, team and communication skills Good English knowledge of word and writing
