On behalf of the Ministry of Science, Research and Art of Baden-Württemberg, the Studienkolleg at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) has the task of preparing international applicants for the examination of findings (FSP) or for the required language certificate (TestDaF-Test German as a foreign language) as well as improving the professional language knowledge of the students. The focus is on teaching in German as a foreign language in the field of study-preparing and accompanying studies. The place includes teaching with teaching obligation / deputat of 12 LVS in the subject DaF. In addition to the exercise of teaching activities, the tasks include coordination of the teaching content in accordance with the framework of the Studienkolleg, procurement of appropriate teaching materials, preparation of tests, exams and examinations, participation in conferences and meetings, and participation in academic self-governing. Related tasks are: Planning and implementation of courses and exams Further development of courses, examinations, teaching materials and similar measures of the Studienkolleg, development and updating of teaching and study materials Participation in the preparation and execution of German language exams (TestDaF, onDaF etc.) Creation, execution, evaluation / correction of training tasks, exams and tests, takeover of further corrections Advice and support for students Conception and supervision of assessment / classification activities Participation in meetings and conferences Execution of quality assurance measures relating to own courses Organisation, project coordination, participation in working groups, implementation of workshops, support and implementation of events Contacts to university and non-university institutions Support for student assistants

Very well completed relevant academic studies (state exams, diploma or master), e.g. in German, and you are ideally scientifically identified with a relevant doctorate and possessing the additional qualification German as a foreign language or have corresponding academic training or Experience You have multi-year teaching experience in higher education as well as experience in TestDaF, onDaF and other DaF exam formats (certifications of advantage) German language (C2) and sufficient knowledge of the English language (B2) mastery of contemporary media, examination and presentation forms High communicative and social competence as well as team skills and organisational competence Good computer skills (office and communication tools) are expected Experience in working with learning platforms (ILIAS) and language learning software A key criterion for successful work at the Studienkolleg is a non-consultational approach to international applicants from more than 80 countries and substantial out-of-school engagement (including counselling).
