The SOS Children's Village Dortmund is a growing network of stationary and outpatient youth aids. In addition to a children's village family, differentiated care offers include a stationary housing group for children, outpatient assistance for education, a public daycare centre with a family centre and a city centre. From summer 2026 another kita will be opened.

In Dortmund Huckarde our new 4-group Kita Bergmannsgrün is created. As a kita guide you are the heart of our educational everyday life – with free space for design, development and innovation. Together with your team, you create a living and value-adding atmosphere in which around 74 children aged a few months are accompanied and promoted daily until You enter school. Overall responsibility for the Kita Bergmannsgrün: You shape and accompany the construction of the new Kita, ensure the quality and development of our educational concept and actively develop the future of the institution. Professional leadership and team development: You support and strengthen your team in the planning and implementation of educational and support processes and bring your expertise. Individual child support: With empathy and educational feeling, you promote childish development and create exciting spaces of experience. Pedagogical quality: You test, document and reflect childlike development processes together with the team. Parental Partnership: You create a trusted, transparent cooperation with the families and support them. Networking & Cooperation: You establish needs-oriented offers in the family centre and strengthen cooperation with actors in the district. Child protection: You ensure a professionally sound and conscientious implementation of all measures for the protection of children and occupants.
