Supplier: Chair of thermodynamics of mobile energy wall systems and Institute of Thermodynamics The Chair of Thermodynamics of Mobile Energy Wall Systems (TME) at RWTH Aachen under the direction of Prof. Dr.-Ing. Together with the Chair of Technical Thermodynamics (LTT), Stefan Pischinger is located in the Faculty of Machine Engineering within the Rhine-Westphalian Technical University. At the Chair of Thermodynamics of Mobile Energy Wall Systems (TME) and its Center for Mobile Propulsion (CMP), all research topics relating to mobile drive systems are processed. The internal combustion engine with synthetic fuels, the fuel cell and the battery-electric drive are in focus, always very closely connected to the further development of intelligent test methods and calibration. With our research and our innovative solutions, we design all forms of sustainable mobility. Research into innovative exhaust gas aftertreatment components for future mobility concepts using experimental methods Support of engine and component test benches during operation with hydrogen or synthetic fuels Coordination of research projects with national and international partners Coordination of technical, mechanical and analytical project processing Development and application of new measurement methods for emission characterization Scientific interpretation of measurement data, discussion with industry experts and deduction of measures

Complete university studies (master or comparable) of the field of mechanical engineering or chemistry Embossed basic knowledge in at least one of the areas: combustion engine, exhaust gas aftertreatment, heterogeneous catalysis Good computer skills (especially MS-Office product family) German and English knowledge fluent in word and writing Ability to work independently and independently Creativity, Flexibility, Team Orientation and Targeting First experience with internal combustion engines and their exhaust gas aftertreatment systems (practice, bachelor or master thesis) desired

The employment is in the employment relationship. The place shall be occupied at the next possible time and shall be limited to 1 year. A further employment of at least 2 years is envisaged. There is the option to extend the place to 4 years. The temporary employment is carried out within the framework of the time-limits of the science-time contract law. It is a full-time job. There is a doctoral opportunity. The grouping depends on the TV-L. The place is rated with EG 13 TV-L. The job description is aimed at all sexes.
