Number: MER0003KNH Our team “Digital Process Chain, Data Analysis and AI” is located in the digitization department. In our team we combine many future-oriented and exciting topics. Homeoffice is generally possible for students. Project description: As part of the digitalization strategy of Mercedes-Benz, a focus will be placed on the visualization and simulation of production/assembly lines in the battery environment. Numerous software solutions with respective advantages and disadvantages are available on the market for visualization with 3D realtime data. For this reason, one has decided to resort to the open development platform Unity for 3D visualization. Unity is a runtime and development environment that allows the development of interactive 3D graphics applications. The project aims to develop an application with Unity that can be used to read CAD data from systems. These CAD data should be derived as a result in an application that is running on all Windows laptops. The application is supplemented with the possibility of using different VR glasses. Your tasks: Development of a Mixed Reality Extension for the Visualization of Systems in the Software Unity Developing a virtual reality (VR) concept via an overarching VR set Creation of a user interface (UI) for intuitive operation of the developed VR concept Development of a Multiplayer Mode in Unity for Cooperative Cooperation Automation of CAD data import by Unity

Course in Computer Science, Software Design, Mechatronics, IT or a comparable degree programme Secure knowledge of German and English in word and writing Safe handling of MS Office Commitment and team skills Analytical thinking and strategic working Please note that your internship at this site must have a prescribed mandatory share.
