About the company

Our client is a modern and international company in outdoor and winter sports. A well-trained team awaits you and exciting tasks with many design options. We are looking for an experienced Accounting Director (m/wd), with an empathic and motivating leadership style. As a Director Accounting (w/m/d), you take the professional and disciplinary leadership of the Accounting Team on site (8 employees) You are responsible for the commercial processes of European companies and report directly to management in the USA You coordinate the topics in audit and compliance, and improve the standardization of processes Your tasks include strategy development and implementation of uniform accounting processes as well as ongoing optimization and digitization in all European units You take responsibility for coordinating and creating monthly, quarterly and annual accounts With a vision, you control the financial processes and recognize further development potentials to optimize corporate performance You are a central contact for tax advisors, auditors and international management Transformation and digitalization are not foreign words for you and together with your colleagues you implement innovative projects (introduction of a new ERP system, consolidation of European societies, etc.)

You have a successfully completed economic studies in Finance/Accounting or a comparable qualification, with profound professional experience You have well-founded knowledge and proven experience in accounting, ideally in an international environment You bring comprehensive knowledge in accounting according to HGB (ideally also very good knowledge according to IFRS or US-GAAP) Your leadership style is valuable, motivating and empathic You work independently, structured and carefully, bringing both hand-on mentality and a portion of pragmatism You communicate at eye level and bring the topics to the point, and this fluently in German and English
