W Power Storage, headquartered in Heidelberg and offices in Frankfurt and Munich, Germany, operates a vertically integrated platform that includes the acquisition of land, licensing, planning, construction and operation of large battery energy storage systems. In Germany, the company has built up a pipeline with a capacity of several gigawatts and aims to become a leading IFP. We recently agreed on a strategic partnership with the ICG European Infrastructure Team. The aim of the partnership is to invest up to EUR 500 million in the realization of the project pipeline of battery storage systems (BESS).

The development and implementation of the company-wide building, EPC and award strategy for the efficient and scalable implementation of the project portfolio is your responsibility. For the construction and execution phase from Final Investment Decision (FID) to the Commercial Operation Date (COD), you establish clear governance, decision and escalation structures. Leadership, further development and capacity management of the Construction Management team are your tasks as well as ensuring clear roles and responsibilities. You take full responsibility for compliance with budget, appointment and quality objectives at portfolio level. You are also responsible for managing and developing the EPC partner and supplier landscape including performance monitoring and contract management. Through standardization, Lessons Learned and structured process improvements, you drive the continuous optimization of the construction and execution processes. Professional handling of internal and external stakeholders at management and board level is also part of your everyday life.

A successfully completed study in the field of civil engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering or a comparable qualification forms the basis of your expertise. You have relevant professional experience, including several years in a strategic leadership function. Ideally, you have collected at least two years of experience in the environment of BESS projects or energy infrastructure and are sure to move on to director levels. As a leader, you are convinced by clear responsibility assignment, strategic vision and a pronounced decision-making power. Also in critical situations you keep calm and create orientation.
