Senior HW/SW Systems Engineer – Automotive Telematics (m/f/d)

Type of employment: Unlimited Working time: Full time Place of work: Frankfurt am Main You manage the development of our Stolen Vehicle Tracking Hardware from design to series. You are responsible for the planning, monitoring and implementation of all necessary accreditations and HW/SW certifications (e.g. Thatcham, SCM, UNECE, CE, RED, ECE R10, FCC) in Europe and beyond. In doing so, coordinate test laboratories, support tests by debugging and ensure the hardware and firmware conformity. You continuously monitor regulatory requirements and industry standards in the Stolen Vehicle Services and Telematics environment to ensure proactive compliance. You advise the HW/SW development process and create and review relevant documentation (test plans, reports, technical documentation, conformity statements, installation guidelines). You are responsible for the suitability of the products for permanent vehicle installation and create corresponding installation guidelines. You conduct risk analyses for hardware revisions and firmware updates and define the certification strategy for product changes. You support audits and technical customer testing. You serve as a central interface between hardware/software engineers, product management, external testing laboratories/authorities as well as sales, IT and project management in international customer projects.

Education: Successfully completed studies in the field of electrical engineering, embedded systems, telecommunications, vehicle technology, ideally focusing on embedded systems design. Experience:5+ years of experience in the electronics development of automotive components or certified IoT/telematic devices. Experience in leading at least one product development from concept to a fully certified embedded system solution for the automotive sector. Knowledge in the field of telematics solutions (hardware, software, communication protocols) and IoT architecture. Experience with vehicle tracking, telematics or asset tracking is preferred.
