Let's connect: Rise indefinitely, at the next possible time, in our TD16 Caribbean department at Hannover / Germany as an underwriter:in with Spanish skills. The Caribbean-Treaty-Underwriting team is responsible for the optional property and liability reinsurance business in the English and Spanish-speaking Caribbean. As part of the North American Treaty Division of Hannover Rück, the team is responsible for the risk assessment (underwriting) as well as the further development of the business throughout the region.

Caribbean property and liability business Analysis of reinsurance offers, assessment of risks associated with it, calculation of fair premiums and final identification of liability risks Completion of associated administrative tasks including correspondence with brokers and customers in Spanish and English Analysis and assessment of initial insurance markets and relevant market participants Maintaining existing customer relationships and building new contacts, including through local business trips and participating in specialist events Conducting on-site marketing activities with customers and brokers

Completed studies in economics, BWL, mathematics, statistics or a comparable study programme Multiannual professional experience in (back) insurance – preferably underwriting – or professional experience as a broker:in IT affinity and safe handling of MS Excel; Power BI knowledge would be advantageous Spanish knowledge in C2 level and English knowledge in at least C1 level, combined with the willingness to acquire basic German knowledge readiness for business trips (approximately 2-4 times a year) to the Caribbean during customer visits and market events; the travel activity can be flexibly tuned in the team Extensive decision-making strength and a sovereign handling of complex issues for sound underwriting decisions High adaptability to different market and business situations in an international environment Communication strength and Connecting Power for effective cooperation with international customers and brokers You may not meet all the requirements mentioned, but you will understand your expertise.
