Ensure compliance with customs and export control rules (DE, EU, US) and analysis of legal changes with subsequent implementation Internal and external contact for authorities (e.g. customs offices, Federal Office for Nature Conservation, Federal Office for Economic Affairs and Export Control, Federal Statistical Office) Execution of the function of the customs officer and AEO contact person vis-à-vis the customs authorities Monitoring, supplements / changes in authorisations Support and preparation of audits and external customs and foreign trade audits Creation and maintenance of documentation/instructions Implementation of internal training Classification of goods in Customs Tariffs and Customs Tariff headings Classification of goods and classification in the export list (dual-use goods etc.) Ensuring compliance with embargoes Responsibility for the execution and documentation of export control processes, penalty list examination, obtaining necessary BAFA approvals Creating regular reports to the authorities Monitoring and maintenance of customs authorisations Request for long-term supplier declarations Preferential Calculations settlement of import and export operations via ATLAS Collection of vZTAs Control of relevant master data in the ERP system settlement and support for relocations (specific settlements) Project or subproject management (e.g. introduction of new software), support for projects (new markets) Professional and disciplinary leadership of the Customs and Export Control team

Studies or commercial vocational training with certified further education in the field of foreign trade & customs Long-term experience as a Customs Expert, in particular good knowledge of foreign trade law, the subordinate provisions, the Union Customs Code and preferential law Very good knowledge of German and English, other foreign languages of advantage Safe handling of MS Office and customs-relevant software, ideally experience with SAP/R3 or S4/HAN leadership experience desirable Absolutely independent, structured and team-oriented working Quick conception with a view to the essential Consultancy and sovereign, winning appearance as a Leica brand ambassador
