Electrical Engineer Network Technology (m/f/d)

Analysis of product and/or component requirements in the field of network technology, such as IT security, interface compatibility and integration into existing system architectures. (further) development and/or selection of electronic components, including the design, construction and implementation of physical networks as well as the configuration and integration of virtual network components. Design analysis of products and/or components focusing on network architecture, protocol stacks, latency behavior, redundancy concepts, security mechanisms (e.g. IDS/IPS, ACLs, firewalls) and EMC and environmental requirements for the hardware components used. Coordination of the development of individual network components taking into account interface requirements, protocol compatibility, hardware and software integration. Responsibility for the integration of network components while ensuring functionality and compatibility. Own documentation and analysis of work results in the form of network diagrams, configuration logs and reports on network performance and availability. Creation of moderate hardware specifications in Doors and production documents for production.

Complete studies of electrical engineering, information technology, computer science or a comparable subject alternatively complete vocational training in the IT sector (e.g. specialist in system integration) supplemented by final further training to the technician:in and corresponding professional experience, ideally in system networks. Knowledge of how to use common network technologies (e.g. Cisco, Juniper) is advantageous. Experiences in TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPN and routing protocols (e.g. BGP, OSPF). The following software tools are advantageous: NetOps,GitOps, SecOps, Infrasturcture-as-Code, Doors, SAP, Ansible (network automation), Linux Knowledge, GIT (version software), IPAM (e.g. NetBox). Team-oriented working and ability to interdisciplinary cooperation. Very good knowledge of German and good English in word and writing. readiness for occasional international and national missions.
