What awaits you

As a backend developer, you work as part of an agile software team on a software solution that allows a smooth flow of communication and information in traffic and train disposition

You develop together with architect:inside and experienced developers:inside scalable backend services for a data-intensive frontend application

You have a look at the entire software development cycle and with GitLab CI/CD for smooth, automated build and deployment processes

You accompany your work through test-driven development and ensure robust, well-maintainable tests

You work closely with colleagues from Product, QA, DevOps, Data Backend or Frontend and shape solutions in cross-functional exchange

What we are looking for

You bring experience in Java Backend development (7+ years) and work safely with PostgreSQL, Apache Kafka and AWS Lambda (Serverless) in the AWS Cloud and are familiar with GitLab (o.A.) CI/CD, Docker and Gradle

You master the complexity of multiple layers and data sources and can solve problems at interfaces to other services through proactive communication with different teams

You develop test driven, ideally with Spock and place great value on clean, predictable tests and a reliable quality environment

You may have knowledge of GraphQL, TypeScript, Node.js and Groovy and have already gained first experience with Liquibase and AppSync

Knowledge of the optimization of backend processes and database performance are advantageous

You will also draw your attention through a high level of teamwork, communication strength and self-initiative

You speak fluent German and can communicate well in English both oral and written
