To strengthen our IT infrastructure team, we are looking for a dedicated*n employee in the field of patch management, who is responsible for our central Windows matching.

In this role, you ensure that our Windows server systems are regularly, controlled and comprehensible with security-relevant updates. You work closely with the areas of Server Operations, Security and Central Authentication and Access Services, as well as the departments, making an important contribution to the stability, security and compliance of our IT landscape. Responsibility for the operation and further development of the central Windows patch management Review, Priority and Release of Microsoft Security Updates, Quality Updates and Feature Updates

Coordination of maintenance windows with internal IT teams and departments

Monitoring of patch status and tracking failed or pending installations

Analysis and troubleshooting related to Windows Updates

Creation of reports, dashboards and status overviews for the patch compliance stand

Documentation of processes, exceptions, risks and technical dependencies

Support for audits, security checks and compliance requirements

Cooperation with IT Security in evaluating critical vulnerabilities and short-term emergency patches

Continuous optimization of patch processes in terms of automation, transparency and reliability

Complete training in IT, e.g. specialist system integration or a comparable qualification

Experience in operating Windows client and/or Windows server environments

Good knowledge in Microsoft environment, especially Windows Server, Windows Client and Active Directory

Experience with patch management tools such as Microsoft Configuration Manager / SCCM, WSUS, Intune, Azure Update Manager or comparable solutions

Basic understanding of IT Security, Vulnerability Management and Compliance Requirements

Structured, careful and reliable operation

Ability to document and communicate technical facts in a comprehensible manner

Own initiative and joy in the continuous improvement of IT processes

Good knowledge of German and English in word and writing

Remarkable Experience with Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint or Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager

Knowledge of PowerShell for automation and error analysis

Experience with reporting or monitoring solutions

Understanding ITIL processes, in particular change, incident and problem management

Experience in handling critical infrastructures, regulated environments or audit requirements

Basic knowledge of network, server and virtualization environments
