Our hospital is a recognized hospital for basic and regular care with the clinics for surgery (partial clinics general, visceral and obesity surgery; Orthopaedics and trauma surgery as well as vascular surgery and vascular medicine), gynecology and birth aid, internal medicine (partial clinics gastroenterology and cardiology) and anaesthesia, emergency and intensive medicine. At the site we also operate our MVZ with the disciplines of internal medicine, surgery, vascular surgery, orthopaedics and gynecology. Your clinicIn the interior department, over 4,000 patients are hospitalized each year, covering the entire spectrum of internal medicine. All common non-invasive and invasive methods of examination and treatment are offered in the area of cardiology with a left heart catheter laboratory. The Department of Internal Medicine has a total of 76 beds, including 59 beds in cardiology and pulmology, as well as 17 beds in gastroenterology, on four peripheral stations. The interdisciplinary, predominantly internalistic, intensive care unit has a total of 16 beds divided into nine intensive beds and seven IMC beds, as well as a bed in the associated emergency room. In intensive medicine, the entire spectrum of internalist emergencies and severe intoxications are monitored and treated. These include cardiopulmonary reanimation measures, non-invasive and invasive respiration, as well as patient care on the integrated Chest-pain unit. All methods of extracorporeal renal replacement therapy are carried out here. In the clinic of cardiology and pulmology, a very wide range of treatments is offered with the focus on interventional therapy of myocardial infarction, implantation of all common devices, including wireless pacemakers, resynchronization therapy and defibrillators, as well as the treatment of insufficiency mitral and triscuspidal flaps. The clinic has 2 modern catheter measuring stations and 24 hours of readiness to treat acute myocardial infarction. Complex cardiological cases are discussed with the heart surgery in Klinikum Kassel as part of the weekly heart team. In the Clinic for Gastroenterology, the focus is on the treatment of diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, of infection and tumor diseases. The clinic has modern endoscopy devices for the diagnosis and therapy of all diseases including ERCP, capsule endoscopy, as well as high-end sonography and endosonography. The treatment of all tumor diseases is decided interdisciplinary within the context of the tumor conference. We offer a variety of training opportunities in internal medicine: General internal medicine: 24 months, gastroenterology: 12 months, the further education for cardiology is currently applied for and processed. In cooperation with the German Hospital Society, we also promote further education as a general physician. .
