Customs & Transportation Coordinator in Vollzeit (m/f/d)

What do you expect in the day-to-day business? Import, export & customs processing Approval and monitoring of import customs duties and ensuring a legally compliant import processing Individually responsible handling of customs and export consignments, such as the creation of export declarations, movement certificates (A.TR., EUR.1) and other accompanying documents required Classification of goods by tariff (HS/TARIC codes) and maintenance and updating of commodity tariff numbers and customs-related master data in consultation with the departments Export Control, Compliance & Authorities Management Ensuring compliance with national and international export control, external economic and embargo rules, including the execution of sanctions list checks for customers, suppliers and business partners, as well as the creation and maintenance of ECCN classifications and end retention declarations (EUS) Examination of authorisation requirements and application and administration of export authorisations in consultation with authorities and specialist departments Contact person for customs authorities, BAFA, IHK and other relevant institutions for operational issues in daily business Transport & service provider management selection of the optimal forwarder or Package service providers according to agreed price and service conditions Examination, clearance and control of freight and transport invoices and general audit Processing of complaints in transport damage, delivery deviations and logistical disturbances Support for customer-specific shipping and registration portals Customer Care & Process Optimization Communication and coordination with customers, suppliers, forwarders and international business partners Participation in the continuous optimization of logistics, customs and export control processes

What are you doing? Successfully completed commercial training, e.g. to the industrial businessman (m/w/d), merchant in wholesale and foreign trade management (m/w/d) or merchant for forwarding and logistics services (m/w/d) At least three years of professional experience in customs and export control, preferably in an internationally active industrial wholesale company, e.g. Knowledge gained in customs and export control law as well as several years of practical experience in the operational application of relevant regulations Very good knowledge in the fields of customs processing, goods tariffing and import and export processes Experience in the independent processing of import and export shipments Safe handling of MS Office and a good understanding of commercial processes You are able to evaluate complex facts independently and are characterised by a structured, reliable and precise operation New legal and regulatory requirements recognize you at an early stage, analyze them and translate them into sustainable and practical processes Experience in handling MS Dynamics and/or AEB is desirable Very good knowledge of German and English in word and writing High level of initiative, flexibility and willingness to deploy as well as strong team and communication skills
