You will create scientific research on financial-supervising topics within your doctoral project and work regularly with other researchers. By evaluating complex data stocks, you can provide detailed analyses of current policy-relevant issues. You will present your research results both in internal seminars and at (inter-)national specialist conferences and thus actively contribute to scientific exchange. With your work, you support the evidence-based further development of financial supervision and regulation and thus significantly shape the future of the financial system.

Master or equivalent degree in a quantitatively oriented degree course (e.g. economics or statistics) Shortly starting or already ongoing doctoral studies Very good German and English language skills In addition, desirable: Research focus of the PhD in Banking/Finance and a topic relevant for financial supervision from Economics Good knowledge of banks and financial markets and the regulatory and supervisory framework Good knowledge in dealing with large datasets and microdata and/or in the development of theoretical economic models, gladly proven by relevant experience Good knowledge of quantitative research methods (e.g. economic methods, simulation techniques) Programming skills in relevant statistical languages (e.g. Stata, R, Python) Designed analytical skills and professional flexibility Independent and team-oriented working Very good communication skills
