As System Engineer (m/w/d) Specify Command & Control, Model and Response the Leader and Arms Applications Systems as well as their functions or Functional chains and responsible for the system specification and system architecture of the entire project. They evaluate customer requirements and derive requirements for their own and foreign subsystems. They evaluate specifications of subsystems such as radars, electronic warfare, pipe weapons, electro-optical sensors, missiles or tactical data link in cooperation with subsystem suppliers; and check these specifications against requirements. They model the integration of subsystems into leadership and weapons deployment systems. They evaluate subsystems with regard to performance and costs. At system level, they define the technical implementation of the system specification, taking into account the economic framework, the feasibility and the integration capability for the overall system.

They have completed their studies in engineering, physics or computer science, or comparable training with corresponding training. They have several years of experience in request management and corresponding tools, such as DOORS, and in the model-based system design with SysML and corresponding tools, such as MagicDraw. They have experience in assessing the performance and integration capability of subsystems. They have experience with the documentation (e.g. according to OSI model) of technical interfaces. Ideally, you have experience with leadership and weapon deployment systems as well as a subset of subsystems such as radars, electronic combat control systems, pipe weapons, electro-optical sensors, missiles or tactical data links. Knowledge in the field of simulation for the purpose of determining performance data or distributed simulation (DIS, HLA).
