The women and men who started writing social history in 1919 with so simple, but even more practical things like soup kitchens and dress chambers did this with a vision. The vision at the time, like today, was to create a society that is characterised by freedom, equality, justice, solidarity and tolerance. These five basic values of the AWO have lasted the century and many changes.
