The Central Institute for Mental Health stands for internationally outstanding research and groundbreaking treatment concepts in psychiatry and psychotherapy, child and youth psychiatry, psychosomatics and addiction medicine.

The new organizational unit Mental Health for Organisations (MHfO) aims to support companies and organisations in the construction and strengthening of mental health. For our customers, we offer courses, workshops and consultations that work on both individual and organisational levels.

The MHFA first-aid courses are a central performance of our offer. MHFA First aider is an established and growing project at the Central Institute of Mental Health, where interested lay people are trained as first aiders for mental health. Since 2019, it has been making an important contribution in Germany to improving knowledge about mental disorders in society as well as to destigmatization and early detection of mental health problems. Implementation of MHFA first-aid courses in companies and non-profit organizations in presence and online format in German and English language Travel activity within Germany for presence training Organisational planning of the course, including contact and close cooperation with the company customer team Search for specialist questions by course participants In-depth discussion with the mediated course contents Perspective implementation of further formats of the MHFA First Aider course as well as further training courses and workshops Regular exchange in the team to grow together

Prerequisite for the implementation of the MHFA first-aid courses: you have a successfully completed psychology study (specialization of clinical psychology), are in medical training to the doctor/ physician for psychiatry and psychotherapy or psychosomatics and psychotherapeutic medicine, you are a nursing specialist for the field of psychiatry/psychosomatics or have a comparable professional background and you have (most professional) You have experiences with lectures or the management of groups or groups. Courses and are able to create a valuable and trusting course atmosphere, as well as to regulate emerging group dynamics. You have very good German and English skills. Ideally you bring experience in work in or with companies and nonprofit organizations.
