The Network and Infrastructure department is responsible for the construction, operation and continuous development of IT infrastructure as well as IT services at around 220 sorting and operating technology locations in Germany. With the growth and progressive digitization, the tasks and the range of services of the team are also continuously expanding. The aim is to provide a modern, stable and efficient infrastructure while implementing new technologies and optimizations. Planning, design and control the implementation of complex IT infrastructure projects up to rollout as an IT system architect.

Your tasks: Strategic development and design of complex IT infrastructure and security solutions for productive operating environments Technical project management and technical control of internal teams in the implementation and migration of server and virtualization platforms Architecture design and integration of server, storage and virtualization components (VMware / ESXi / vCenter / Hyper-V / Linux / Windows) Active, hands-on cooperation in operating operations, in particular in complex fault analyses, changes and system extensions Definition and implementation of security policies, system curing and ISMS requirements in close coordination with IT security Control of external service providers and manufacturers, including quality assurance and acceptance of technical services Creation, testing and further development of operating concepts, architectural and security documentation

Your profile: Complete training as a specialist in system integration or state-tested technician (m/w/d) with a focus on IT system technology, network technology or comparable, or studies in (economic) informatics, information technology or comparable discipline – with relevant practical experience in the operation of complex IT infrastructures More than 3 years of relevant professional experience in building, operating and developing server and virtualization infrastructures including storage and backup systems Deep knowledge of VMware vSphere, vCenter, ESXi and storage technologies (SAN, NAS, iSCSI, Fibre Channel) as well as backup and recovery solutions Proven experience in managing complex technical projects and service provider control Standing for occasional missions Secure knowledge of German in word and writing (C1 level) and good English skills
