Number: MER00044E2 In our field we research and develop on the next generations of driving assistance functions and autonomous driving of Mercedes-Benz AG. Our focus is on the development and provision of the computing platform for the diverse functional developments. We are focusing on the possibility of using different specific processors offered on the market and also in different target markets. This results in the need to portable software. AI-based software solutions are still highly dependent on the respective processor technology. For this purpose, we investigate and develop methods for the deployment of neural networks on microcontrollers. These challenges come to you: Selection suitable trained neural networks from the open source environment

Customize and optimize this for the specific microcontroller in architecture and dataset

Integrating the Solution as Device Driver into the Classic-AUTOSAR-Stack of the Hardware

Control the complete workflow from the neural network to function protection on the hardware

Close cooperation with German-speaking partners within and outside Mercedes-Benz AG

The activity can begin from August 2026. The final topics will be discussed with the university, you and us.

Study programme in the field of computer science with focus on microcontrollers, their commissioning, machine learning, autosar, SW integration and testing or comparable

Secure knowledge of German and English in word and writing
